Senior Site Manager – Progression to Project Manager (Temp to Perm)

Rate: Up to £350 per shift

UK-wide Projects | Initial project live

Start: ASAP

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Site Manager with a strong residential or civils background to step into a live project and take full control of delivery. This isn’t a role for someone learning the ropes — we need someone with a proven track record of driving quality, safety, and momentum on high-spec builds.

The current project involves building a new brick-built substation on a reinforced concrete base — not a modular or steel frame — with associated trenching and cable route works. It's a technically led, detail-critical job that needs a manager who understands SHEQ standards inside out and can coordinate multiple trades to get the job over the line.

This is a temp-to-perm role, with the right candidate transitioning directly to the client after an initial short-term period. For the right individual, there’s a clear route to become Project Manager within 6 months, with the chance to shape and lead future works across the UK.

What You’ll Be Walking Into:

*

A live, partially set-up project – RAMS, site logistics, and early works already in place

*

A technically focused build requiring precision, leadership, and site experience

*

A company that backs strong performers and offers a natural progression path

Responsibilities:

*

Full day-to-day control of the site – from groundwork through to handover

*

Managing subcontractors across brickwork, civils, and trenching/cabling packages

*

Leading toolbox talks, daily briefs, and ensuring strict SHEQ compliance

*

Managing site paperwork, drawings, and programme targets

*

Liaising with internal teams and the client to problem-solve and maintain momentum

Ideal Candidate Profile:

*

A seasoned Site Manager with SMSTS, CSCS (Black), and First Aid

*

Experience on civils-led or residential projects – particularly where quality and compliance are critical

*

Strong communicator and organiser who can command respect on site

*

Practical knowledge of the full build cycle – ideally someone who’s progressed up through the ranks

*

Proven ability to deliver finished units to high standards, resolve defects, and engage client-side

*

Background in substations, groundwork, or reinforced concrete builds would be a real bonus

What’s On Offer:

*

Up to £350 per shift (CIS)

*

Temp-to-perm route – move to a direct contract after a short agency period

*

Clear pathway to Project Manager within 6 months

*

Accommodation and travel support for away work

*

Stable project pipeline with a client that rewards capability

If you’re used to stepping into complex sites, solving problems before they escalate, and delivering quality builds under pressure — we’d love to speak to you
