Freelance Site Manager – Housing Refurbishment Scheme



Location: Berwick-upon-Tweed



Start Date: October 2025



Contract: Freelance



We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a housing refurbishment scheme in Berwick-upon-Tweed, commencing this October.



Key Responsibilities:



Managing day-to-day site operations and ensuring smooth delivery of the refurbishment programme



Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to meet deadlines and quality standards



Monitoring health & safety on site and ensuring compliance with regulations



Liaising with the client, project team, and to maintain strong communication and resolve issues quickly



Reporting progress, risks, and site activity to senior management



Requirements:



Proven experience as a Site Manager on housing refurbishment or similar residential schemes



Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site procedures



Excellent communication and organisational skills



Ability to manage subcontractors effectively and deliver to programme deadlines



Valid SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification
