Site Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of a construction project from initial groundworks through to final build completion in Watford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing all stages of the construction process, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Manage the day-to-day site operations, from groundworks to the final handover.\n\n * \n\n Coordinate all on-site activities and subcontractors to ensure productivity and efficiency.\n\n * \n\n Monitor project progress and implement schedules, ensuring deadlines and targets are met.\n\n * \n\n Enforce health and safety compliance on-site, adhering to company and legal standards.\n\n * \n\n Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with specifications.\n\n * \n\n Liaise with the project team, clients, engineers, and local authorities as required.\n\n * \n\n Manage site paperwork including RAMS, daily reports, timesheets, and material orders.\n\n * \n\n Resolve any on-site issues or delays quickly and effectively.\n\n * \n\n Lead regular site meetings with relevant stakeholders.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Proven experience as a Site Manager with a strong focus on groundworks and full build projects.\n\n * \n\n Background in residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments .\n\n * \n\n SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold card), and First Aid certification.\n\n * \n\n Excellent knowledge of construction methods, health & safety, and project management principles.\n\n * \n\n Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and subcontractors.\n\n * \n\n Able to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.\n\n * \n\n Effective communicator with clients, contractors, and suppliers.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence and own transport.\n\nBenefits:\n\n * \n\n Competitive salary (dependent on experience)\n\n * \n\n Vehicle allowance or company vehicle (where applicable)\n\n * \n\n Pension scheme\n\n * \n\n Career progression opportunities within a growing business
