Summary
The Site Manager works alongside the Program Manager to help oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a Group Home or Supported Living Site.He or she supervises and coordinates the activities of Direct Support Professionals and manages the operations of the group home or Supported Living Site. The Site Manager is responsible for fulfilling the requirements of the staffing plan, household budgeting, household functions, and notifying the Program Manager and/or Nurse of any and all issues concerning the or the home. The Site Manager maintains close contact with guardians and conservators and participates in the shared planning process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- The Site Manager function has been designated Essential, which means that, in the event of an emergency (including inclement weather conditions), your position has been determined to be critical to the support of our business operations. If you are directed to report to work just before, during or after inclement weather or any other form of emergency, you are obligated to comply if you are scheduled to work on your agreed upon or designated shift.
- Essential Personnel provide services that relate directly to the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals and company during times of emergencies. This is a condition of employment.
- Performs an on-call function.
- Leads, directs, and supervises the support staff working with the service recipient to provide services that respond to the support needs stated in their ISP.
- Provides direction for the implementation of support plans.
- Involves where possible in decision making about activity, lifestyle and matters in the home which may affect them.
- Provides skill building opportunities related to personal care activities such as: toileting, bathing and grooming, dressing, eating, mobility, communication, Household chores, food preparation, money management and shopping.
- Provides skill building opportunities related to the use of community resources such as: transportation, restaurants, social and recreational activities.
- Provides support in identifying and acquiring valued social roles in community settings, including, but not limited to opportunities for membership in local groups, clubs, and organizations.
- Respects the personal choices of individuals supported.
- Provides support with transportation to and from work, training sites and community resources.
- Communicates regularly with service recipients, family/guardians and support coordinators to develop appropriate recommendations for improvements to support plans and care plans.
- Prepares work schedules for support staff and ensures adequate coverage at service locations.
- Ensures shift change responsibilities are documented and that on-site coverage of assigned place of duty is maintained until properly relieved.
- Examines services provided for quality, helpfulness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Monitors documentation for compliance with company documentation standards and to assist with accurate billing.
- Submits complete and accurate documentation/required paperwork to the administrative office in a timely manner.
- Performs all duties of subordinates and/or assists them in performing their duties which includes administration of medicines and working the schedule as needed.
- Maintains harmony among workers and families, resolves grievances, and serves as a role model for subordinates.
- Reports and/or relays reported health and safety concerns at service location to Program Manager.
- Conducts or delegates the task of conducting fire drills, disaster drills, safety, and sanitation inspections.
- Ensures subordinates meet training requirements, and attendance at required functions/outings.
- Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions.
- Monitors staff and/or service recipient budget, if applicable and is responsible for staying within those guidelines.
- Monitors and approves time off, travel reimbursement, overtime, purchasing, and payroll time sheets.
- Seeks understanding of and follows company policies and procedures.
- Immediately reports to the Program Manager or Administrator, all suspected or observed incidents of client abuse, neglect or exploitation and all suspected or observed incidents of waste, fraud, abuse and/or misappropriation of individual or company funds or property.
- Ensures confidentiality regarding sensitive issues and material.
- Practices safety in the workplace.

- Shall maintain state and company training requirements to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to supervise Direct Support Staff.

- Ability to conduct training.
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with outside professionals.
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
- This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a High School Degree or GED and some experience in a supervisory role.
Physical Demands
- Working conditions are regularly in an office or home type setting.
- Work may require frequent weekend and evening work.
- Work may require physically assisting service participants with transferring and personal care.
- Must be able to perform CPR on the ground.
