Site Manager – Structural Steel

London | Up to £65,000 + Benefits

I’m working with a leading structural steel contractor delivering complex, large-scale steel projects across London. They’re now looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to oversee major structural steel installations on challenging, high-profile builds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day site operations for heavy structural steel projects
• Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and the internal team
• Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations
• Oversee steel erection activities and manage site-based labour
• Conduct site meetings, manage programme schedules, and report progress
• Ensure quality standards are consistently met across all site activities

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing heavy structural steel projects
• Solid understanding of structural steel erection methods and processes
• CSCS Black Card – essential and non-negotiable
• SMSTS and First Aid certifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage complex steel structures in high-pressure environments
