Site Engineer/Manager

Job Advert: Site Engineer / Site Manager (Groundworks & Civils)



Location: Hull



Contract Type: Freelance - long term for the right candidate



About the Role:



We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer / Manager to join our team on a busy new build housing project for a groundworks and civils contractor.



This is a dual role position, split approximately 50/50 between engineering duties and site management responsibilities. You'll be working closely with the project team to ensure both the quality and progress of works meet expectations.



Key Responsibilities:



Engineering (50%):



Setting out for groundworks and concrete slabs



Ensuring works are completed in line with engineering drawings



Management & QA (50%):



Managing 3-4 groundwork gangs on site



Carrying out site inductions and toolbox talks



Completing permits and other H&S documentation



Conducting quality inspections and reporting



Maintaining site records and daily diaries



Requirements:



SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)



CSCS Card



First Aid at Work



Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering



Experience on residential new build sites



Ability to manage both site teams and paperwork efficiently
