POSITION SUMMARY:

The Engineering Technician – Civil/Site is a position with 0-3 years of experience working under the supervision of a Senior Engineering Technician or Project Manager. This individual will assist with engineering and design during all phases of projects primarily located in and around the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania. This opportunity focuses on Land Development design and permitting, but also exposes the successful candidate to related fields including Environmental studies, Water/Wastewater design, and Municipal Engineering. PRIMARY DUTIES:

· Work with senior staff to provide engineering design assistance for a variety of land development projects including mixed-use, residential, commercial, healthcare, industrial, recreational, public infrastructure, and educational facilities.

· Develop expertise with all phases of site design including site grading, utility design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, erosion and sedimentation control, and related engineering effort required for land development applications.

· Research code requirements for incorporation into designs.

· Prepare plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Prepare permit applications as required by local and state regulatory authorities.

· Develop cost estimates.

· Construction observation and related site visits.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

· Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

· Familiar with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software.

· Ability to formulate engineering solutions and clearly convey them to team members.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Proven ability to multitask, appropriately prioritize workflow, and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.

· Excellent time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a design team.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year institution.


CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES REQUIRED:

· Engineering-in-Training (EIT) .

The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $61,000 - $91,500. This range represents a good faith estimate and is based on factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range shown reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations.

Within this range, individual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, education, and training.
