Job Summary
The Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for signage projects and overseeing projects from inception to completion. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimating: Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for signage projects, including materials, labor, and equipment, based on project specifications and site assessments.
- Project Management: Oversee all phases of signage projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
- Vendor Coordination: Source materials and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
- Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to evaluate project requirements, identify potential challenges, and ensure accurate estimates and project plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project records, including estimates, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Quality Control: Ensure all signage projects meet company standards, client expectations, and industry regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in estimating and/or project management in the signage industry or equivalent. Strong knowledge of sign design, fabrication, and installation processes is .
- Skills:
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Excel, industry-specific estimating programs).

- Excellent project management skills, including scheduling and resource allocation.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and vendor interactions.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.

- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in construction management, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management or estimating (e.g., PMP, CPE) are desirable but not required.
- Other: Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $23 - $26 per hour, commensurate with sign industry experience.
