Avanceon is seeking a skilled and driven Siemens PCS 7 Controls Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering world-class automation solutions using Siemens PCS 7 across a variety of industries. If you're passionate about designing robust, scalable process control systems and enjoy collaborating with customers and internal teams, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers and project teams to design Siemens PCS 7 based control system solutions that improve productivity, capacity, and quality.
- Configure, test, and deploy PCS 7 projects, including OS servers and clients, engineering stations, and operator stations.
- Develop and modify PCS 7 OS graphics, faceplates, alarms, trends, and diagnostics that streamline operations for plant personnel.
- Program PLC and process control logic primarily on Siemens platforms while supporting other PLC and SCADA systems as needed.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and startup, including troubleshooting and optimization of PCS 7 systems at customer sites.
- Contribute to internal PCS 7 standards, templates, and best practices and support other engineers working on PCS 7 projects.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others on multiple concurrent projects.
- Hands-on experience engineering and commissioning Siemens PCS 7 systems, including OS configuration and project structure.
- Configure and use SIMATIC Logon and Autostart for OS stations
- Create and configure custom graphics as well as custom faceplates
- Create and configure various PCS 7 architectures, including Server/Client, Redundant Server, Web Server/Client, and Multi-project setup. Including system validation using OS Simulation
- Experience developing HMI or SCADA operator interfaces and interpreting or creating electrical and control schematics; AutoCAD Electrical experience is .
- Comfortable talking to engineers, IT, and operations, and able to bridge the gap between them.
This position can be local or remote, but requires project-related travel to customer locations.
