Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on controls support for production equipment, automated machinery, and manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Siemens PLC, NC/CNC, HMI, I/O, motion control, drive, and network-related issues.
  • Diagnose faults using Siemens STEP 7 and TIA Portal and perform safe program modifications when required.
  • Support Siemens PLC platforms and associated NC control systems used in manufacturing and machining operations.
  • Respond to equipment downtime events, perform root cause analysis, and restore production in a timely manner.
  • Maintain backups of PLC/NC programs, machine parameters, and control system documentation.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing engineering, quality, operations, and OEM suppliers to resolve technical issues.
  • Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, cybersecurity, and change management processes.
  • Provide clear communication regarding technical issues, corrective actions, and project status to customer stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Siemens industrial control systems.
  • Strong experience with Siemens STEP 7 and TIA Portal.
  • Proven experience supporting both PLC and NC/CNC control systems.
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLC platforms such as S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200, and S7-1500.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, function block diagrams, and control documentation.
  • Experience troubleshooting HMIs, industrial networks (PROFINET/Ethernet), field I/O, sensors, actuators, drives, and servo systems.
  • Strong production support and troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to participate in customer interviews and technical discussions.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in automotive, machining, assembly, or other high-volume manufacturing environments is .
  • Knowledge of Siemens SINUMERIK or other NC/CNC platforms is .
  • Experience with motion control, safety PLCs, commissioning, and equipment optimization is desirable.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field .
  • Willingness to work onsite and support flexible production schedules as needed.
