The Role: Shower Installation Technician

The Shower Installation Technician is a vital, hands-on position responsible for the expert and safe installation of our signature accessible bathroom solutions. This role is crucial for delivering the independence and quality of life our clients seek.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation Expertise: Expertly install various types of accessible, curbless showers, wall panels, doors, and related plumbing hardware and fixtures (valves, grab bars, drains).

• Demolition & Prep: Safely remove existing shower/bathtubs and fixtures; accurately measure and prepare shower spaces for installation.

• Tools & Equipment: Proficiently and safely operate all necessary hand and power tools for demolition, carpentry, and installation tasks.

• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all installations are watertight, fully functional, and strictly adhere to HMS quality standards, safety guidelines, and accessibility principles (universal design).

• Client Relations: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, communicating clearly with customers and team members while representing the company.

• Site Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring comprehensive cleanup of the site upon completion.

• Documentation: Accurately complete all required daily paperwork, work orders, and final inspection checklists.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience in construction, residential remodeling, carpentry, or plumbing installation work is required. Direct experience with accessible or curbless shower systems is highly .

• Technical Aptitude: Basic to intermediate knowledge of plumbing principles and proficiency in using a wide range of hand and power tools.

• Physical Ability: Ability to perform the physical demands of the job, including regular lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and carrying heavy objects.

• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve installation issues on-site efficiently.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to measurements and installation to ensure precise, code-compliant, and high-quality results.

• Professionalism: Commitment to safety protocols, a professional appearance, and excellent communication skills for client and team interaction.

• Logistics: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (or clean driving record for company vehicle use).
