Job Description
Position: Mechanical Shift Engineer\nLocation: Central London\nSalary: Up to £45,000 per annum\nShift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days & Nights Rotation)\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical building services systems.\n\n * Maintaining and fault-finding on HVAC plant, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, heating systems, and associated mechanical equipment.\n\n * Responding promptly to breakdowns and ensuring minimal disruption to critical hospital operations.\n\n * Completing maintenance activities in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures.\n\n * Supporting statutory compliance and ensuring accurate completion of maintenance records.\n\n * Working closely with the wider engineering team to maintain high standards of service delivery across the site.\n\n * Participating in the shift rota covering both day and night shifts.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n * Mechanical qualification such as City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship, or equivalent.\n\n * Previous experience within commercial building services, healthcare environments, critical facilities, or facilities maintenance.\n\n * Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.\n\n * Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.\n\n * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.\n\n * A team player who can perform effectively within a busy operational environment.\n\nWhat's On Offer\n\n * Competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum.\n\n * Attractive 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, offering excellent work-life balance.\n\n * Opportunity to work on a high-profile healthcare contract within a critical environment.\n\n * Ongoing training, development, and career progression opportunities.\n\n * Long-term stability with a major Facilities Management provider.\n\nIf this position sounds like something you'd be interested in, I'd be delighted to discuss it with you in more detail
