Shift Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician



Location: East Yorkshire

Salary: £54,500 + Overtime & Excellent Benefits (Including Private Healthcare)

Shifts: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days & Nights)

We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in East Yorkshire that is investing heavily in its engineering team.



The Role As a Shift Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant reliability. You’ll be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, working as part of a multi-skilled team to ensure machinery runs efficiently and safely.



Key Responsibilities



Planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment

Electrical fault finding and repair, including motors, control panels and PLC fault finding

Mechanical maintenance on conveyors, pumps, and hydraulics

Ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety standards

Carrying out continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reliability

Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime What We’re Looking For



Time-served Engineer with strong electrical skills and relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent)

Proven experience in a process, manufacturing, or FMCG environment

Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures (LOTO, Risk Assessments, Permit to Work, etc.)

Ability to work effectively in a rotating 12-hour shift pattern (Days & Nights)

Knowledge of PLC fault finding (desirable but not essential) What’s in It for You
