We are looking for a SHEQ Manager for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Ras Laffan / State of Qatar
Seeking an experienced with a strong maritime background to lead Safety, Health, Environment & Quality across towage fleet, crew, and onshore operations.
Role Summary
- Manage all SHEQ activities, uphold marine operational standards, and drive a strong safety culture across fleet and shore teams. Ensure SHEQ policies and procedures remain updated, compliant, and fully implemented in line with local and international maritime regulations.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marine/nautical sciences or Safety Management.
- Tertiary level education, Marine / Offshore /Shipping background preferred.
- Ocean going background is preferred
- DPA and CSO certification is preferred.
- Recognized incident and root cause analysis investigator qualifications is preferred.
- Formal qualification in NEBOSH, similar equivalent qualifications such as (CMIOSH, MIIRSM or RSP) might be considered.
Job Specific Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Towage Industry along with procedures, locally and internationally.
- Solid knowledge of risk & incident management tools and practices
- Able to thrive in a dynamic, multi-cultural/-religious/-language environment.
- Self-motivated and driven, with an appetite for expanding areas of expertise, facing new tasks and challenges.
- Good analytical, inter-personal, and communication skills.
- Exposure to ISM/SMS principles and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development of safety management system (HMS) in alignment with latest applicable international and local standards and requirements.
- Stay abreast of new developments within the industry on SHEQ regulations, standards, and best practices, and assess their impact.
- Work closely with different functions and ensure full compliance with SHEQ-related standards and regulations. KPIs and objectives.
- Develop and implement SHEQ related policies and procedures and always ensure stakeholders adherence to these policies and procedures.
- Act as NSW SHEQ ambassador for all matters related to SHEQ with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external audits related to SHEQ (i.e. OVMSA, ISM, ISPS, including OVID inspections conducted by client).
- Support Operations in liaising with Flag registry and local Class authorities for external audit schedules and requirements, including reporting of closure of any identified external audit findings.
