Job Description

Job Title: Service Technician Salary : £25,000 – £45,000 OTE (Depending on Experience) Hours : Monday – Friday (40-hour week) + seasonal overtime as required Join a leading Agricultural Machinery Specialist, my client is looking for a skilled and motivated Agricultural Service Technician to join their team, working with some of the most respected names in the industry. You'll be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of a wide range of agricultural equipment, providing outstanding service to our valued customers both in the workshop and out in the field. Key Responsibilities: Service, maintain, and repair leading agricultural machines to manufacturer standards Accurately diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues Use laptop-based diagnostic software (training provided) Complete detailed service reports with supporting photos and time logs Identify and report defects, advising customers on additional services where appropriate Understand and support GPS, telematics, and machine control systems Assist in preparing equipment for demonstrations, open days, and shows Ensure returned demo machines are in excellent condition Work closely with the service team and attend manufacturer training days when available Ideal Candidate Profile: Previous experience servicing agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or construction machinery Qualification in Land-Based Engineering or similar is highly desirable Confident in diagnosing faults and operating diagnostic tools Full UK driving licence is essential Excellent customer service and communication skills Able to manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team Positive attitude, especially during busy seasonal periods What’s in it for you?
