Southern Motors is looking for a skilled and dependable Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

What You’ll Do
- Perform vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs according to manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately
- Communicate findings and recommended repairs clearly to the Service Advisor team
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with dealership and OSHA standards
- Test and verify completed repairs to ensure quality workmanship
- Stay current with factory training, certification requirements, and new technologies
- Assist and collaborate with team members to maintain strong service department performance
- Deliver excellent customer service through honesty, professionalism, and attention to detail
What You’ll Need
- Previous automotive technician experience required (manufacturer or ASE certification preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high-quality standards
- Basic computer skills for service documentation
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED (technical or trade school training preferred)
- Own basic tools; specialty tools provided by the dealership
