Service Technician (Mobile)

Description: We are looking for a skilled Mobile Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.  This general service will be completed on the customer's property.  Proactively reaching out and setting up a routine maintenance schedule with the desired customers. Other duties may include working in the shop.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
  • Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to improve service efficiency.
  • Manage inventory of parts and tools required for repairs and maintenance.
  • Be on call nights and weekends on rotation with other shop technicians
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.  CDL is not required but it is a plus.

  

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of related experience OR an associate degree in a related program.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to stay updated on new technologies and repair methods.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • The following skills are not required but are a plus:
    • Welding
    • Torching
    • Plasma cutting
    • Hydraulic experience
    • Troubleshooting
    • Operating forklifts, tractors, payloader and a service truck
