Service Technician/Mechanic
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:
The Service Technician/Mechanic position is responsible for minor and major repair on aggregate/mining equipment including crushers, screeners, conveyor systems, etc.
Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identifies and diagnoses mechanical problems on aggregate equipment
- Evaluates mechanical failures, determines cause and completes timely and effective repairs
- Responds to field service calls as assigned
- Other tasks as assigned
Skills & Requirements
- Mining background is a plus, familiar with aggregate equipment
- Possesses mechanical knowledge on various types of aggregate equipment
- Required to follow all safety policies
- Ability to take direction in the shop and field
- "Can do" attitude with a sense of urgency
- Strong communication skills
- Welding skills are a plus
- Both in shop and field work will be required
- Moderate computer skills
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on equipment repair
- Dealer or manufacturer training desirable
- CDL
