About Premier Generators:

Premier Generators, a Power Support Partners Company, is founded on the idea that a business can sincerely improve the world. We are a group of individuals who set out to build a team of people that sincerely believes in our values: Love People, Improving Always, Together We Win, and Executing with Excellence. Our main service is installing and maintaining standby generators for power outages which helps people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives. We are committed to providing the best possible place to work for a motivated and purpose-driven individual.

Our Generator Service Technicians play a vital role in ensuring that homeowners have a reliable backup power source during unexpected outages. Their expertise helps maintain the functionality of generator systems and provides peace of mind to homeowners, supported by a robust benefits package that reflects the company's commitment to their well-being and job satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Installation: Technicians are involved in the initial setup and installation of residential generators. This includes positioning the generator in an appropriate location, connecting it to the home's electrical system, and ensuring proper ventilation and fuel supply.
  2. Regular Maintenance: Regular maintenance is essential to keep generators in optimal condition. Technicians perform routine inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, and other maintenance tasks to prevent issues and ensure the generator is ready when needed.
  3. Scheduled Service: They often follow manufacturer-recommended service schedules, which might involve checking the battery, testing the generator's output, inspecting electrical connections, and verifying the functionality of automatic transfer switches.
  4. Troubleshooting and Repairs: If a generator fails to start or experiences issues, technicians diagnose and troubleshoot the problem. They identify faulty components, replace parts, and conduct necessary repairs to restore the generator's functionality.
  5. Load Testing: Load testing involves simulating a power outage and verifying that the generator can handle the electrical load of the home. Technicians perform load tests periodically to ensure the generator can provide the required power during emergencies.
  6. Emergency Repairs: In the event of a generator failure during an actual power outage, technicians may be called upon to provide emergency repairs. This can involve working under time constraints to restore power to the home.
  7. Upgrades and Modifications: As new technologies and features become available, technicians might be involved in upgrading or modifying existing generator systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
  8. Customer Interaction: Technicians often interact with homeowners to explain maintenance procedures, offer advice on generator usage, and answer any questions or concerns the homeowners might have.
  9. Documentation: Keeping accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and modifications made to the generator system is crucial for future reference and warranty purposes.
  10. Safety and Compliance: Technicians must adhere to safety protocols and local electrical codes while working on generator systems to ensure the safety of both themselves and the homeowners.
