Service Technician - Building Automation HVAC Controls

Immediate need of an experienced Building Automation Systems Service Technician. Job duties include troubleshooting, repair and service of Building Automation Systems.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams and circuits. Candidates should have a background in Building Automation, HVAC, or the electrical field for this position.
• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical controls with a multi-meter.
• Knowledge of temperature control systems, air conditioning / heating systems (HVAC), computer systems, electronics or networked applications.
• Experience with systems / software such as Tridium, Andover Controls, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Reliable, CSI, TAC, Siemens, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, Trane, PLCs or Alerton is a plus.

Education and/or Experience Required:

• The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized and self-sufficient.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience or technical training with Building Automation Systems.
• Strong understanding of HVAC Systems to include chilled/hot water central plant control sequences.
• Rotating on call for emergency service required
• Applicant should be self-motivated and able to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to communicate with others both written and orally
• Valid Driver’s license and good driving record required
• Able to travel locally as required
• Mobility within the office and on construction job sites
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
