Service Technician Job Description-
Our client is seeking a skilled Service Technician. This position is responsible for providing service
to customers, as it relates to their Boiler Rooms.
This candidate will have strong work ethic and an ability to work both individually and in collaboration with others.
The Service Technician will report to the Area Manager and does not require any prior experience. Our client can and
will provide on the job training.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Provide service to customers as directed by Area or Service Manager
a. Annual Maintenance
i. Boilers
ii. Feed/DA Tanks
iii. Ancillary Equipment
b. Piping
c. Wiring
d. Refractory
e. Service/Install Pumps
f. Control & Burner Upgrades
g. General Repair & Maintenance
2. Maintain Safety Training requirements.
a. PBBS Safety Training
b. Customer Safety Training
3. Maintain Certifications
a. ASOPE
b. NIULPE
c. OSHA
d. etc.
4. Available to work occasionally out of town, overtime, and on-call shifts.
Hard Skills:
1. Mechanical and/or Electrical background.
2. Ability to read, understand and work from mechanical, wiring, and electrical prints/schematics.
3. Proficiencies using smart phone/tablet.
Soft Skills:
1. Self-motivated, self-aware, and coachable.
2. Critical thinking, time Management, and problem-solving skills.
3. Able to work independently, as well as in a team atmosphere.
4. Strong communication and customer service skills (written and oral).
