Shift/Hours:
Monday – Friday; Weekends as needed.

Position Purpose/Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Branch Supervisor, Service Technicians are responsible for operating a company service truck and driving to various locations to service/pump/clean portable restrooms and holding tanks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies to shop immediately.
- Report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the Operations Supervisor/Manager.
- Operate service trucks to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
- Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatch to receive additional instructions, changes to work location, etc. to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
- Service portable restrooms, holding tanks, sinks, showers, etc. at various work sites by following the company’s servicing guidelines.
- Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in every unit serviced.
- Clean interior and exterior of units and add chemical solution to portable restroom units.
- Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor on status of project(s), including any delays or change requests.
- Complete all truck logs and necessary documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Immediately report all work-related injury and/or accidents to Branch Supervisor/Manager.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency, measurement, weight, and distance.

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Valid Non-Commercial California Class C Driver’s License and vehicle insurance at no less than California State minimum required limits of liability.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions (in some cases extreme heat/cold), moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. This position requires employees to travel regularly to off-site work locations and as such use of a vehicle will be provided.
