Job Summary
The Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing routine maintenance on golf cars. This includes conducting diagnostic tests, repairing mechanical and electrical components, performing routine services, and providing high-quality customer support both in the shop and in the field.
This position requires working in an outdoor environment and exposure to a variety of conditions, including moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, or caustic chemicals.

Duties/Responsibilities
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels, changing oil, and replacing other fluids as needed.
• Mount, rotate, and replace tires as required.
• Replace or charge batteries, belts, and other essential components of the golf carts.
• Run diagnostic tests to identify technical issues with golf cars.
• Test the functionality of parts to ensure they meet proper standards.
• Provide basic to complex repairs including mechanical and electrical fixes.
• Maintain accurate labor and time estimates to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Document service processes, repairs, and maintenance using Aspen Software.
• Clock in and out of job orders to maintain accurate work records.
• Provide field service and customer support during visits to ensure customer needs are met.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot errors or technical problems, determining the best course of action for resolution.
• Maintain a clean and safe working area, ensuring all equipment and tools are properly stored and organized.
• Adhere to company standard operating procedures for safety and quality.
• Understand customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations for service and repairs.
• Foster positive relationships with customers while out in the field, promoting company services.
• Assist with custom fabrication work, if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities
• Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues.
• Experience with electrical systems, specifically low to medium voltage.
• Familiarity with mobile tools, diagnostic tools, and mobile applications used in the industry.
• Ability to diagnose and repair both mechanical and electrical systems effectively.
• High attention to detail to ensure all repairs meet quality standards.
• Strong customer service skills to interact with clients in a professional manner.
• Knowledge and experience with both mechanical and hydraulic brake systems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to travel to job sites and work according to a changing schedule.
• Experience with custom fabrication is a plus, but not required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet customer demands.
Education and Experience
• 3+ years of experience in the motorsports, automotive, or similar technical field.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• ASE certification is a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push, pull, and drag heavy objects when necessary.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks as part of daily responsibilities.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including working outdoors or in confined spaces.
