Key Responsibilities

As a Service Technician at Hi-Line Autohaus, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and maintaining the high standards our customers expect. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Perform Routine Maintenance Services
    Execute scheduled maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, filter replacements, and multi-point inspections to ensure vehicle longevity and performance.

  • Diagnose Mechanical & Electrical Issues
    Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across a variety of luxury, import, and domestic vehicles. Develop and implement effective repair strategies.

  • Execute Complex Repairs & System Overhauls
    Perform in-depth repairs and component replacements, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, brake systems, suspensions, HVAC systems, and drivetrains. Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

  • Customer Communication & Service Recommendations
    Engage with customers to understand vehicle concerns, clearly explain diagnostic findings, and provide informed recommendations for necessary services or repairs. Maintain professionalism and build trust through transparent communication.

  • Maintain a Clean, Safe, and Organized Work Environment
    Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while keeping your workspace clean and orderly. Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the service center.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in automotive service and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ideal applicants will possess the following:

  • Proven Experience
    Prior hands-on experience as an automotive service technician, preferably working with luxury, import, and domestic vehicles.

  • Technical Proficiency
    In-depth understanding of automotive systems and components, including mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic systems.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
    Ability to accurately diagnose issues and determine effective, efficient repair solutions with precision and attention to detail.

  • Strong Communication Skills
    Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to customers in an approachable manner.

  • Customer-Focused Mindset
    Dedicated to delivering a positive service experience, maintaining professionalism, and building trust with clients.

  • Certifications ( but not required)
    ASE Certification or equivalent credentials are a plus and will be considered favorably.
