Service Tech III (Offshore Wellhead)

Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable, safety, health, quality and environmental regulations.
• Prepare JSA (Job Safety Analysis) on job site and perform all duties in a safe manner..
• Safely install, remove, repair and service customer equipment on the well site.
• Perform valve lubrication, valve repair, wellhead improvements with the ability to run high pressure lubricator (PBMO) to set various size back pressure valves and two way check.
• Operate Company vehicle with all necessary tools and equipment and keep Company vehicle in compliance regulations
• Prepare accurate field service and rental tickets in a clean and legible way.
• Provide technical expertise and direction to well site supervisor and rig crew and assists with customers as needed.
• Pre check all equipment on the well site before installation to insure all equipment is correct and all accessories are on location ready to install.
• Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area.
• Has the ability to run a VR lubricator under pressure.
• Assist engineering in problem solving, making suggestions for better installation procedures.
• Performs other routine duties per supervisor’s instructions.
• Records critical dimensions to ensure assembly will work as designed.
• Handles customer complaints in a professional manner.
• Assist other districts as required.
• Equipment trouble shooting.
• Capable of field equipment repairs.
• The ability to safely complete / de-complete single completions with or without control line.
• The ability to identify stud, nut, ring gasket size for flange end connections.
• Assist in training Service Trainee and other Service Techs.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years wellhead experience with onshore or offshore installations.
• Minimum one (1) year experience working offshore.
• Must have the ability to work independently with little to no supervision. Proven safety and driving record.
