We are recruiting a Service Supervisor for our reputable client on a permanent basis.

Role: Service Supervisor

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire

Salary: Up to £40000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

About our Client hiring a Service Supervisor:

Our client is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor to support the Service Manager and workshop team. This role would suit someone from a Plant, Agricultural, Quarry, HGV or similar heavy industry background who is looking to move off the tools into an office-based service role.

Key Responsibilities as a Service Supervisor:

Support the Service Manager with the daily running of the service department

Organise and coordinate workshop workload

Provide technical advice and support to engineers

Help improve service department performance and efficiency

Liaise with engineers, workshop staff and management

Assist with service planning, job allocation and workflow

Maintain high standards of organisation, communication and customer service

Work in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements

Requirements for the Service Supervisor role:

Experience within heavy industry is essential

Hands-on engineering, fitting or mechanical experience would be beneficial

Strong technical understanding of heavy equipment or machinery

Good organisational and communication skills

Able to support engineers with technical queries

Confident working in an office-based service environment

Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Service Controller, Workshop Controller or Service Coordinator would be advantageous
