Job Title: Service Engineer - Fire & Emergency Lighting\n\nLocation: Oxford\n\nSalary: Up to £39,000\n\nThe Client\n\nA rare opportunity has arisen to join a well-established specialist Fire, Life Safety and Security company who provide a full end to end solution for their clients.\n\nBy combining the experience, expertise, and resource of some of the leading names in the industry, their business model is geared to sustain growth, whilst keeping customer satisfaction as a core focus for all of theirr teams.\n\nJob Summary of the Service Engineer - Fire & Emergency Lighting\n\nServicing of planned maintenance, Reactive & Remedial Calls across the customer base in line with the current British Standards and current legislation. \nEffectively communicate with the customer the details of their Service / Fault / Remedial visit advising of the outcome and any additional works required. \nComplete all works issued at the most cost effective, efficient and timely manner in line with company policies.
\nTo self-manage your on-going van stock to ensure first time fix is maximized on approved job selection. \nTo attend any training sessions that are identified by the company and advise of any training needs you feel are required to carry out your job duties. \nComplete company documentation thoroughly and in line with company expectations.
\nTo undertake reasonable overtime from time to time and as required by the business to ensure that a customer's premises remains fully operational and complaint. \nIdentify all non-conformances and recommendations as part of the Service visit and report back recommendations to the Service Desk, so the relevant quotations can be raised. \nRespond to emergency calls within the timescale specified wherever possible.
\nProvide support for other engineers from time to time. \n\nThe Person - Service Engineer - Fire & Emergency Lighting\n\nExtensive experience of Delivering Service Related Activities (Maintenance, Call Outs & Remedial Works across Fire, Emergency Light, AOV & any associated disciplines. \nA systematic approach to solving complex problems.
\nStrong attention to detail and able to identify errors swiftly. \nHighly effective verbal/written communication. \nA professional and high level of interpersonal skills at all levels.
\nAble to deal with all members of staff, clients and suppliers in a professional manner. \nProven experience in the industry along with a track record to demonstrate competence is essential when applying. \nUnderstanding of the British Standards (I.E BS5839).
