Compa Industries is searching for qualified candidates for a Work Control Planner 3 position at the Los Alamos Laboratory (LANL) in Los Alamos, NM.

Salary: $65-$70/HR
Location: TA-55, Los Alamos Laboratory, NM
Citizenship: US Citizenship Required
Work Schedule: 4-10s; backshift and night shift may be required to support 24/7 operations
Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain a Q-Clearance; current clearance is not required but highly desirable

Impact
The Work Control Planner 3 will play a crucial role in supporting the mission of the Pit Production Office (ALD-PI) by developing and reviewing work packages for installation, maintenance, and modification activities within a secure facility. The role ensures operational integrity and safety compliance in a high-consequence security environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and/or review work packages, including time, material, and labor estimates
  • Write detailed, step-by-step work instructions and procedures
  • Specify safety and testing requirements
  • Support operations, maintenance, or modification of mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological equipment
  • Resolve work restraints and finalize work package closures
  • Provide planning support for PF44 installs
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and procedural policies


Minimum Qualifications

  • Proven experience in planning within a secure, technical environment
  • Ability to obtain Q-Clearance
  • Experience working with CMMS, P6, Excel, and Word
  • Willingness to work onsite full-time and support backshift/night shifts as needed


Desired Skills

  • PPA certification desirable
  • Prior experience supporting pit production or similar nuclear facility operations
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills


Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years of relevant planning experience, or
  • No degree with minimum 12 years of relevant experience
