Pay Rate: Up to $57/hour
Duration: 12-Month Assignment (Potential to Extend or Convert)

Summary
We are seeking a Senior Wireless Systems Test Engineer to support the validation, testing, and performance optimization of next- wireless products. In this role, you will execute comprehensive wireless system testing in both laboratory and real-world environments, helping ensure high-quality, reliable connectivity across a variety of wireless technologies.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in wireless communications, network protocols, and RF testing, along with experience using industry-standard test equipment and diagnostic tools. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with hardware, firmware, software, and chipset engineering teams to deliver high-performance consumer wireless products.
What You'll Do
• Execute wireless system testing in controlled laboratory environments and real-world deployment scenarios
• Validate wireless performance, reliability, and interoperability across multiple wireless communication technologies
• Capture, analyze, and troubleshoot wireless traffic using tools such as Wireshark, Iperf, and other network analysis platforms
• Perform power consumption analysis using Keysight Current Analyzers and other electrical test equipment
• Create detailed test plans, test procedures, and comprehensive validation reports
• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira, Confluence, and related project management tools
• Collaborate with firmware, software, hardware, chipset vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure complete test coverage and product quality
• Support the development and improvement of wireless test systems, automation tools, and custom test fixtures
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve wireless system performance
• Contribute to continuous improvement of wireless validation methodologies and quality processes
What You Bring
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE) or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional or advanced academic experience in wireless systems testing, telecommunications, or RF engineering
• Strong understanding of wireless communication systems and telecommunications technologies
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, MQTT protocols, and wireless packet analysis
• Proficiency using Wireshark for traffic capture, protocol analysis, and troubleshooting
• Experience with wireless test equipment including Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Vector Network Analyzers, RF probes, Function Generators, and Multimeters
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex wireless system issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Bonus Points If You Have
• Experience testing Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Thread, Z-Wave, Bluetooth, Cellular (3G/4G/5G), Sub-GHz, or DECT technologies
• Experience with Python scripting, NI LabVIEW, or other test automation frameworks
• Experience developing automated wireless validation tools and test systems
• Basic soldering, PCB assembly, or hardware rework experience
• Experience supporting consumer electronics or IoT product development
• Experience working closely with chipset vendors during product integration and validation
