Summary of Role:

We are looking to recruit a Senior Windows Engineer to join Capula, who will be involved with existing and upcoming projects.

Across project lifecycles, the role is to contribute to and/or supervise the following:

  • High-level and low-level design documents, test specifications, maintenance manuals.
  • Installation of (as dictated by customer requirements):
  • Windows in bare-metal and (primarily VMware) virtual environments.
  • Various (integrated control system) COTS products.
  • SIEM solutions.
  • Configuration of Windows and COTS products to meet user requirements and customer/industry standards.
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and address any resultant issues.
  • Troubleshoot installation/configuration issues.
  • Internal/customer testing and resolution of any resultant issues.
  • On site commissioning.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration.
  • Proven experience in System Design and Troubleshooting.


Skills:

  • Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to recommend solutions to complex technical problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Experience with VMware virtualization technology.
  • Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and experience securing Windows systems.
  • Ability to manage and maintain Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Ability to perform capacity planning, performance tuning and optimization.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based systems.
  • Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and performant.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for Windows systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve technical issues and implement new systems.
  • Plan and execute software and security patches and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and obsolescence plans.
  • Help develop junior members of the team.
