What you'll do

  • Develop test procedures and protocols to verify product reliability and confirm compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Troubleshoot and debug test hardware and software to resolve issues quickly.
  • Design, build, and/or procure new or improved machines, tools, fixtures, and material-handling equipment; coordinate implementation.
  • Generate process documentation, including bills of materials and route sheets, to enable consistent execution.
  • Review project instructions and engineering drawings to determine test specifications, equipment needs, objectives, and viable solutions, while supporting design-for-manufacture.
  • Set up and run tests on units and subassemblies; capture both numerical and graphical data.
  • Analyze outcomes against objectives and adjust equipment or setups to meet specifications.
  • Document procedures, results, and recommendations to enhance products and test methods.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience within the defense industry.
  • Proven technical skill set in testing electrical and mechanical components.
  • Hands-on background with medium to high voltage equipment; familiarity with power controls and power conversion.
