Senior ATE Test Engineer
Location: Orange County, CA
Fully Onsite
$150,000–$180,000 Base Salary

What You'll Do
- Lead the transition of test solutions from legacy systems to advanced ATE platforms.
- Design and implement high-speed test solutions at both the wafer and package level.
- Develop test hardware (DUT boards, load boards, power distribution networks) and write robust test programs in C++/Linux.
- Collaborate with design teams to incorporate Design for Test (DFT) methodologies early in the development cycle.
- Analyze test yields and production data to identify areas for optimization and cost savings.
- Assist in long-term capital equipment planning and tool selection.
- Conduct reliability and qualification testing, and support ATE characterization.
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers, and contribute to overall product robustness.
- Manage multiple test development projects simultaneously while maintaining top-tier quality standards.
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, ideally in mixed-signal or avionics domains.
- Strong hands-on experience with ATE platforms—preferably Cohu
- Knowledge of analog/digital test development, debugging, and characterization.
- Experience in board-level design (analog/mixed-signal/digital PCBs); layout knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Familiarity with life testing, qualification, and yield improvement.
- Clear, concise communicator with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in high-reliability or safety-critical applications is a strong plus.
