Senior Systems Engineer

ITnova is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight for the design, integration, operation, and maintenance of complex systems supporting security, monitoring, and technology environments. This position supervises systems engineers and ensures system performance, reliability, and compliance throughout the system lifecycle who is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of audio/visual and related security systems. This position supports reliable system performance in operational and secure environments in accordance with contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level systems engineering support across the full system lifecycle.
• Supervise and mentor systems engineers and technical staff.
• Design, integrate, and maintain interactive, interpretative systems with on-line, real-time data acquisition capabilities.
• Provide engineering oversight for systems including:
  • CCTV
  • Access Control Systems
  • Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems
  • Emergency Call Systems
  • Ambient Air Monitoring Systems
  • Audio/Visual and related security systems
• Perform and oversee:
  • System design
  • Installation and integration
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC)
  • Systems testing, validation, and acceptance
• Ensure system documentation, standards, and engineering practices are followed.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project managers and stakeholders.

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another related scientific or technical discipline. Masters Degree .
• Six (6) years of experience in systems engineering with at least three (3) years of experience supervising systems engineers.
• Demonstrated experience using interactive, interpretative systems with on-line, real-time acquisition capabilities.
• Five (5) years of experience supporting security and monitoring systems including CCTV, Access Control, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems, Emergency Call Systems, Ambient Air Monitoring Systems, Audio/Visual, and related security systems.
• Strong leadership, documentation, and technical communication skills.
• Experience in basic operation of all systems, including:
  • System design
  • Installation
  • Maintenance
  • Quality Assurance / Quality Control
  • Systems testing
