Position Overview
We seek a Senior Systems Analyst with deep Informatica PowerCenter expertise to support a healthcare-related Maryland state agency. This role centers on managing enterprise data integration platforms that process critical healthcare enrollment and eligibility information for Maryland .
The successful candidate will serve as the primary Informatica specialist, ensuring optimal performance of PowerCenter environments that handle millions of healthcare transactions. This position demands hands-on experience with Informatica administration, ETL development, and enterprise data management in mission-critical environments.
Core Responsibilities
Informatica PowerCenter Operations (Primary Focus)
- Manage day-to-day Informatica PowerCenter operations across development, test, and production environments
- Install, configure, and upgrade PowerCenter components including Repository Server, Integration Service, and PowerCenter Client
- Develop and maintain complex ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions for healthcare data processing
- Troubleshoot PowerCenter performance issues and optimize mapping execution times
- Implement PowerCenter security models and user access management
- Monitor PowerCenter logs and resolve integration failures promptly
Advanced Informatica Administration
- Configure PowerCenter domains and nodes for high availability
- Manage PowerCenter Repository maintenance including backup and recovery procedures
- Implement version control processes for PowerCenter objects
- Coordinate PowerCenter upgrades and patch deployments
- Establish monitoring frameworks for PowerCenter job execution and system health
- Create and maintain PowerCenter documentation and operational procedures
Enterprise Data Integration
- Design ETL processes for healthcare data transformation and validation
- Implement data quality checks within PowerCenter workflows
- Support real-time and batch data integration requirements
- Manage data lineage and impact analysis for PowerCenter objects
- Coordinate with upstream and downstream systems for data flow management
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and regulations
Technical Infrastructure Support
- Work with Control-M for automated PowerCenter job scheduling
- Support PostgreSQL database connectivity and performance optimization
- Manage AWS infrastructure components supporting Informatica environments
- Troubleshoot Java applications and application server configurations
- Implement and maintain security certificates and encryption protocols
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field from an accredited institution
Informatica Expertise (Critical)
- Minimum three years of hands-on Informatica PowerCenter experience
- Proven experience with PowerCenter administration, configuration, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of ETL design patterns and best practices
- Experience with PowerCenter performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of PowerCenter security implementation and user management
Additional Technical Requirements
- Three years as a Batch Operator using Control-M or equivalent scheduling tools
- Two years working with PostgreSQL databases or equivalent environments
- Experience in health insurance marketplace, healthcare, or health and human services domains
- Strong analytical skills for complex system troubleshooting
- Database and SQL proficiency for data validation and analysis
Qualifications
Advanced Informatica Skills
- Five years of Informatica PowerCenter experience in enterprise environments
- Experience with Informatica PowerExchange, Data Quality, or other Informatica tools
- Knowledge of Informatica Cloud or IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services)
- Experience with Informatica performance monitoring and capacity planning
- Certification in Informatica PowerCenter development or administration
Specialized Experience
- Five years supporting complex enterprise system operations
- Experience with Informatica in AWS cloud environments
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, EDI, X12)
- Experience with large-scale data processing and transformation
- Background in healthcare data integration and compliance requirements
Work Environment
Schedule and Flexibility
- Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday
- Flexibility required for extended hours during system upgrades and maintenance
- On-call support for critical Informatica system issues
- Weekend and holiday availability for scheduled maintenance windows
Security Requirements
- Must pass enhanced background check for Federal Tax Information (FTI) access
- FBI fingerprint-based criminal record check required
- Citizenship/ verification for legal employment authorization
- Ongoing compliance with security protocols for healthcare data access

- Informatica PowerCenter experience is mandatory and non-negotiable

- No second-tier subcontracting permitted
- Must be available to start July 14, 2025
- Position subject to contract renewal options through June 30, 2028
