Senior Sustainability Consultant \n\nLocation: Birmingham \n\nSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 plus DOE \n\nA multi-award winning engineering consultancy is seeking a driven and passionate Senior Sustainability Consultant to join their team in Birmingham. You will be responsible for delivering environmental and wellbeing assessments (such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.) from early design through to completion and post-construction stages.\n\nKey responsibilities:\n\nEmbodied carbon calculations and circular economy consultancy\nBuilding performance simulations, including operational energy forecasting and overheating analysis\nYou will collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement innovative sustainability and energy strategies for both new and existing developments.\nSupport the development and mentoring of junior team members by sharing expertise in consultancy, workstream management, and project planning.\ntaking part in R&D initiatives that keep the firm at the forefront of the industry - includes opportunities to engage in sector-wide research, contribute to best practice guidance, and shape industry standards.What we’re looking for:\n\nExperience working within the built environment sector, ideally in a sustainability or engineering consultancy\nA relevant degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline\nA strong technical foundation paired with a passion for sustainable design and innovation\nKnowledge and experience in; Energy Performance Modelling (IES VE), Whole Life Carbon Assessments (embodied carbon, OneClick LCA), Net Zero Carbon Strategies, Environmental and Wellbeing assessments (BREEAM, WELL) and Circular Economy Principles\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environmentBenefits:\n\nBenefits:\n9 day fortnight working pattern\nAccess to career development and technical training\nPrivate medical insurance\nStock options\nElectric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme\nUp to 30 days annual leaveIf you're serious about sustainability and ready for a new challenge in a forward-thinking, industry-leading team—we’d love to hear from you.\n\nApply today or reach out to Katie Davison at Aztrum recruitment for a private and confidential conversation
