Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager - Global Engineering Organisation



A leading global engineering company is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Planning Manager to oversee and drive all aspects of supply chain planning - from demand forecasting and supply planning to production scheduling, SIOP, and operational execution.



Reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, you will shape the planning strategy and lead a team of five Planners and one Master Scheduler across four key value streams.



This opportunity offers a competitive salary of £70,000, plus a £6,600 car allowance and 10% annual bonus.



Key Responsibilities:



Lead, mentor, and develop the planning team, setting clear KPIs and maintaining robust training frameworks



Own and drive the site's Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process



Manage end-to-end planning - demand, supply, and production - across short, medium, and long-term horizons



Enhance forecasting accuracy and inventory performance to support customer satisfaction



Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure material availability aligns with production needs



Seamlessly integrate New Product Introductions (NPI) into production plans and scheduling systems



Improve systems, tools, processes, and inventory policies, with a strong focus on automation and ERP/MRP data integrity



Candidate Profile:



Proven leadership experience in Supply Chain Planning, Materials Management, or Production Planning roles



Strong background in SIOP/S&OP processes, either leading or playing a key role in site-wide implementation



Analytical mindset with advanced skills in Excel and working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems



Demonstrated ability to manage and develop planning teams, especially within evolving or transforming functions



Strategic thinker with a passion for process improvement and operational excellence
