Job Description
Senior Structural Engineer – Full or Part Time\n\n We are now looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an award-winning consultancy in Exeter with a considerable share of the local market. This role is unusual as it could be one of two things depending on what you’d prefer, either full or part time with a minimum of three days a week. \n\n Responsibilities would include:\n\nAssisting in the development of a design team\nDesign meetings\nLiaising between contractors and clients\nProject running\nMentoring of junior team members\nAiding in the development and expansion of the design team, actively involved in the recruitment process\nActing as point of contact on structural projects from inception to completion\nActing as an authority on structural issues and problem solving\nReport writing\nUtilising your experience by running your own complex and challenging projects\nHands on design and site visits \n\nMy client is preferably looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:\n\nChartered or approaching chartered member of the ICE or IStructE\nExperience with software packages such as Tekla suites\nKnowledge of BIM\nExperience with a variety of building structures\nKnowledge of Eurocodes\nExperience with all traditional materials such as RC and Steel\nThis Civil and Structural consultancy handles the design of buildings from a range of sectors including residential and commercial.
They are keen to find someone who can lead and develop a design team as the company goes through and exciting period of growth. Clients and projects include:\n\nPlymouth Argyle\nExeter City Football Club\nExeter Chiefs\nHigh end one bespoke residential\nUnderground leisure facilities and swimming pools\n\nOn offer is either full time or part time depending on the candidate’s preference. Candidates would be at liberty to choose between a 3, 4 or 5 day working week, salary to be pro-rated accordingly.
On offer is a salary up to £60,000pa depending on experience
