Senior Structural Engineer\n\nLocation: Nottingham\n\nThe Opportunity\n\nWe are currently working in partnership with a well-established structural engineering consultancy based in Nottingham, who are looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to support their continued growth across a predominantly residential project portfolio.\n\nThis role would suit an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading design delivery, and acting as a key technical point of contact for clients and project teams.\n\nThe Role\n\nLead the structural design and delivery of residential projects, including new builds, extensions, and refurbishments\n\nManage projects from concept through to construction\n\nPrepare and review structural calculations, reports, and design information\n\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians\n\nLiaise directly with clients, architects, contractors, and local authorities\n\nAttend design meetings and site visits as required\n\nEnsure designs comply with current UK standards, building regulations, and best practice\n\nContribute to the continued development of internal processes and technical standards\n\nAbout You\n\nDegree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent)\n\nSignificant experience working on UK residential structural projects\n\nStrong technical knowledge of UK design codes and building regulations\n\nComfortable managing multiple projects and client relationships\n\nExperience mentoring or managing junior staff\n\nProficient in relevant structural analysis and design software\n\nChartered or near-Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE)
