As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of submarine construction. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• \nDesign & Analysis: Conduct analysis and design of complex structures in line with Eurocodes, British Standards, and BAE standards.

\n

• \nRegulatory Expertise: Apply your knowledge of regulations that go beyond BAE Systems, including LOLER, Codes of Compliance, and Weld Specifications.

\n

• \nTechnical Proficiency: Utilize advanced computer-based analytical methods, including finite element analysis and CAD modeling (Abaqus, S-Frame).

\n

• \nSupport Manufacturing: Provide essential support for the manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling, and installation of submarine structures and components.

\n

• \nFast-Paced Environment: Contribute your expertise in navigating facility and site constraints related to shipping, handling, and installation.

\n

• \nTechnical Deliverables: Assist in developing concept drawings and layouts, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budget constraints.

\n

\n \n Your Skills and Experiences:\n

Essential:

\n

\n
• Engineering Degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent) or HND with extensive experience in Civil/Mechanical/Structural Engineering.

\n

• Experience in Hand Analysis and Design Techniques, including report writing.

\n

• Strong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.

\n

• Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering, structural steelwork, and lifting handling (LOLER).

\n

Desirable:

\n

\n
• Experience in a production environment, particularly in marine production.

\n

• Familiarity with ABAQUS, S-Frame, MathCAD, and Excel.

\n
