We are currently seeking a Licensed Structural Engineer to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida to lead a design team for residential and commercial projects.
Our projects include new construction, additions, remodels, structural repairs and modifications, structural surveys, inspections, and construction phase services.

The position will require analysis and design of residential and commercial building structures, preparation of construction documents, as well as provide construction phase services including review of shop drawings and interaction with contractors to resolve field conditions.
*This position will report to our office in Jacksonville, Florida.
Position Responsibilities
• A firm understanding of both commercial and residential building structural systems and the best materials choices based on type of design, location, and use of the building.
• A firm understanding of load calculations, performance criteria, and material/member selection.
• Preparation of as-built drawings from existing buildings.
• Performance evaluations of the structural systems in existing, sometimes damaged, buildings.
• Creating required drawings and specifications using your knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Researching building code (historical and current).
• Field assessment to include working from ladders, lifts, scaffolds, and rooftops.
Position Requirements
• Experience required: 1-5 years as a licensed Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer.
• BS in Civil Engineering degree or related field
• Passed Florida PE Exam
• Working knowledge of structural systems and design/analysis/construction.
• Design/analysis experience with reinforced concrete, masonry, wood, and steel.
• Knowledge of building codes and experience reviewing plans and specifications
• Strong computer skills
• Drafting (AutoCAD) experience required.
• Modeling (REVIT) experience desired.
• Structural analysis (ETABS, ENERCALC, etc.) experience desired.
