Senior Structural Engineer in Fort Mill

Summary of Responsibilities
· This position is for senior-level engineers with a minimum of 8 years of structural engineering experience, 5 years of experience with light-frame construction, and 3 years of experience managing projects and/or clients
· Perform preliminary structural layout and selection before production to identify the primary structural system elements, construction types, and load paths
· Coordinate projects, schedules, and information with clients as required
· Guide, direct, and mentor junior staff to complete projects as appropriate and advance overall team skill level
· Review, redline, and approve all junior staff production for completeness and correctness, including all structural calculations, plans, and details prepared for projects with limited oversight or corrections from leadership team prior to sealing and delivering projects
· Perform site visits and prepare observation reports as required for projects
Minimum Qualifications
· P.E. license and 8 years of structural engineering experience
· Civil engineering degree with emphasis on structural engineering
· Minimum 5 years of experience with light-frame construction
· Experience with ForteWeb, Revit and common structural analysis programs
Required Core Competencies
· Follow established design procedures and recommend improvements as appropriate
· Ensure junior staff are completing projects on schedule and in accordance with company standards for drafting and engineering
· Review calculations, drawings, and details prepared by junior staff for correctness and completeness
· Ensure final drawing and report packages match company standards using library of design resources and past project database
· Ensure final drawing and report packages comply with all architectural requirements
· Working knowledge of IBC/IRC, ASCE 7, NDS, AISC 360, ACI 318, TMS 402, and other common design standards
· Working knowledge of industry standard practices
Ideal Qualifications (Not Required)
· Experience with Revit and BluBeam Revu
· Experience with RISA 3d and ForteWeb
· S.E. license
Must Provide Minimum of 2 Professional References
Salary Range & Benefits
· $110k - $140k +
· Compensation is based on total work managed and direct production and is monitored quarterly

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
