Our client, an extremely well know, prestigious non-profit is hiring a Senior Specialist, Tax & Regulatory Compliance to support both nonprofit and for-profit entities, with a strong focus on income tax preparation, apportionment, and strategic compliance.
*MUST have experience with 990T and 1120 Filing Experience
- Location: Alexandria
- Schedule: 3 days in office ( T, W, Th)
- Salary: $75,000 - $100,000
REQUIERED
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, accounting/finance/administration (required)
- Industry: For Profit/Public Accounting (Required)
- 1120 Filing Experience
- 990T Experience
- Strong understanding of Corporate Tax & Tax Law
- 5+ years of experience
The role involves work with federal/state filings (1120, 990T), NetSuite reporting, and collaborating across departments and external advisors
- Prepare supporting workpapers for various business income tax filings (federal and state), to include apportionment worksheets and tax models
- Maintain supporting workpapers for IRS Form 990T, unrelated business activities, and 1120 filings, including indirect overhead allocation worksheets
- Collect K-1 investment information
- Review income tax forms prepared by outside advisors, remaining abreast of form requirements
- Recommend estimated tax prepayments and create and administer online income tax prepayment accounts
- Coordinate tax forecasting and maintain relevant Excel schedules
- Prepare General Ledger tax journal entries, accruals, and reconcile general ledger activity
- Work with tax preparers to account for deferred tax assets
