This role offers the opportunity to drive technical success for enterprise customers by providing innovative solutions that solve complex data challenges. The Senior Solutions Engineer will lead the technical sales process from initial engagement to post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term adoption. You will design and demonstrate solutions that showcase the value of advanced data technologies, collaborating closely with account managers and cross-functional teams. This position emphasizes creativity, technical expertise, and customer advocacy, offering a hands-on environment where you can influence both technology adoption and product development. Ideal candidates are passionate about connecting technical solutions to real-world business problems while building strong customer relationships.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end technical sales process, including discovery, solution design, demonstrations, and post-sales support.
- Collaborate with account managers to communicate the value of solutions and drive successful outcomes.
- Design and implement customer solutions based on reference architectures, common patterns, and advanced data technologies.
- Present product roadmaps and technical vision to inspire customers and expand adoption.
- Serve as a customer advocate, providing feedback to product management and engineering teams.
- Participate in external evangelism activities such as webinars, meetups, and conferences.
- Support knowledge sharing across teams and contribute to community-driven learning initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a customer-facing, pre-sales, or technical solutions role.
- Strong presentation and demonstration skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
- Hands-on experience with technologies such as Big Data, Data Warehousing, Relational Databases, and Data Engineering or Machine Learning platforms.
- Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Certification is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of enterprise operations, security, and data governance.
- Experience with Unix or Linux environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and customer advocacy skills.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for helping customers succeed.
