This position is contingent upon successful contract award.
Oversee and implement comprehensive security protocols. Ensure systems remain resilient and compliant with the latest Department of Defense (DoD) standards. Possess a deep understanding of information assurance (IA) frameworks and hold the necessary technical certifications to manage privileged access environments and defend against evolving digital threats.
Key Responsibilities
- System Security Oversight: Monitor, evaluate, and maintain the security posture of enterprise systems to ensure continuous operational availability.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all systems adhere to DoDM 8140.03 standards and maintain the required IAT and IAM level benchmarks.
- Cyber Defense & Incident Handling: Utilize advanced tools to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid recovery and mitigation of vulnerabilities.
- Privileged Access Management: Manage and secure Computing Environments (CE) and Operating Systems (OS), ensuring all users with privileged access meet specific training and certification requirements.
- Documentation & Auditing: Develop and maintain security documentation, including Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) and System Security Plans (SSP).
- Technical Agility: Ability to pivot between management-level compliance oversight and technical cyber defense tactics.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to verifying certification currency and system compliance.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex cybersecurity requirements into actionable steps for non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel may be required
Requirements:
Technical Qualifications & Certifications
Candidates must meet the following certification requirements across several tiers:
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II: Must hold at least one of the following: Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Security.
- Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II: Must hold at least one of the following: CISSP (or Associate), CISM, CASP-CE, CAP, or GSLC.
- Cyber Defense (CD): Demonstrated proficiency through CEH, GCIA, CSIH, or GCIH certifications.
- Computing Environment (CE): Must possess a valid Operating System/Computing Environment (OS/CE) certificate of training for applicable systems where privileged access is required.
Experience & Education Requirements
To qualify for this position under the DoDM 8140.03 framework, candidates must meet one of the following education/experience combinations:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field.
- Associates Degree combined with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
- Successful completion of CNSSI 4012, 4013, 4014, 4015, or 4016 training.
- 5–9 years of direct experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a closely related technical field.
Clearance Requirements: Possesses and maintain Top Secret Clearance (SCI )
