Senior Software Engineer

Build foundational systems behind real‑world decisions

Full‑time · Hybrid- (San Francisco)

$225K–$300K + meaningful equity

The Opportunity

An extremely well‑funded, YC‑backed Series A start-up is building a next‑ platform that sits at the intersection of data, automation, and high‑stakes decision‑making.

The product is already live, widely used, and growing quickly. The next chapter is about deepening the platform, scaling carefully, and raising the technical bar across systems that must be reliable, explainable, and correct.

This is a role for Senior / Staff engineers who want to work close to the core.

• Core application and platform systems
• Complex backend and data heavy workflows
• Scalable services operating in a regulated or sensitive context

• Cross‑stack problem solving, with a backend leaning focus

Requirements:

You’re likely a strong fit if you:

• Have 8+ years of professional Full Stack software engineering experience – with a Backend Lean
• Have TypeScript, React.js, Node.js, Python - Experience with data driven or intelligent systems is helpful but not required
• Have owned or significantly shaped production systems
• Have experience working on Complex Backend systems at Infrastructure level
• Are comfortable making architectural trade-offs with incomplete information
• Have experience in early‑stage or fast‑moving environments
• Are self‑directed, communicative, and pragmatic
• Prefer building durable systems over shipping throwaway code
• Ideally have some experience with AI/ML – Chatbots/ fine-tuning models etc
• Computer Science Degree is a bonus.

• ~30 people total, lean senior engineering team
• Revenue‑generating, well‑capitalized, and growing
• Multiple senior hires planned
• On‑site collaboration in San Francisco
