Software Engineers (Java / JavaScript / TypeScript)

Gloucester – Hybrid (2–3 days on-site)

£42,000 – £62,000 + Excellent Benefits

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK’s flagship engineering and digital security organisations — a trusted technology partner to UK Government and Defence. They design, build, and secure complex systems that sit at the core of the UK’s critical infrastructure.

With major growth planned in Gloucester, they’re hiring Software Engineers across Java and JavaScript/TypeScript to help shape next- solutions in security and intelligence domains.

What you’ll be doing

• Developing secure, scalable software used across sensitive government programmes
• Working with Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript in modern cloud and on-prem environments
• Designing, integrating, and testing complex systems in agile project teams
• Collaborating with specialists in software, AI, and cyber to deliver impactful, real-world solutions

Experience required

• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript or TypeScript (Spring Boot, Node.js, React etc.)
• Understanding of secure development and modern DevOps tooling
• Comfortable working in agile, collaborative engineering environments
• UK – eligible and willing to go through DV Clearance
