Senior Software Engineer in Boston
Job Description
Senior Full-Stack Software Developer
Location: Boston, MA - In person
Company: AutoAce AI
Compensation: Up to $120K-$180K salary + 1–2.5% equity
Type: Full-time
AutoAce AI is building AI employees for automotive dealerships, starting with service departments.
Our product helps dealerships handle inbound service calls, appointment scheduling, customer questions, escalations, and operational workflows for teams that still rely heavily on phone-based communication.
We are growing quickly and looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer to join the founding team in Boston. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to build directly with the founders and founding engineers, ship fast, and help shape the product, engineering culture, and company trajectory from the ground up.
This is an early-stage startup role. We are looking for someone who is excited by high expectations, fast iteration, long hours when needed, and meaningful ownership as we rapidly scale.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work across the full stack to build, scale, and improve the core AutoAce platform.
This includes customer-facing dashboards, backend systems, integrations, voice AI workflows, internal tools, AI infrastructure, telephony workflows, and product infrastructure.
You’ll work closely with the founders, founding engineers, and customers to turn real dealership pain points into shipped software.
You should be comfortable owning projects end-to-end, making technical decisions, moving quickly, and operating in an early-stage environment where priorities can shift fast.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain full-stack product features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
- Own major engineering projects from idea to deployment.
- Work directly with the founders, founding engineers, and customers to turn product needs into shipped software.
- Improve reliability, observability, and scalability across the platform.
- Work on AI infrastructure supporting voice agents, customer workflows, and dealership operations.
- Integrate with dealership systems, scheduling tools, telephony providers, and voice AI infrastructure.
- Help shape engineering process, architecture, and product direction.
- Move fast while maintaining high standards for quality and customer impact.
- Strong full-stack engineering experience.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership without needing heavy management.
- Experience building production software used by real customers.
- Strong frontend and backend fundamentals.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment.
- Product-minded engineer who cares about customers, speed, and business impact.
- Willingness to work in person in Boston.
- Excited to work hard, move with urgency, and help build a company from the ground up.
- Experience at an early-stage startup.
- Experience with AI, voice AI, telephony, or workflow automation.
- Experience with Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase/Postgres, Python, Node.js, or similar tools.
- Experience building B2B SaaS products.
- Experience working on infrastructure, integrations, or real-time systems.
- Interest in joining early and growing with the company.
- Salary up to $150,000
- Equity between 1–2.5%, depending on experience, seniority, and fit
