Your Mission
ClearEdge is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to support the development, deployment, and sustainment of a large-scale data processing and ETL system in a Linux-based environment. This position requires strong backend development experience and a deep understanding of automation, data pipelines, and systems integration.You Will Excel in This Role If You:

• Enjoy designing clean, scalable ETL pipelines and backend systems
• Are comfortable in a Linux-heavy environment with lots of automation
• Like working with structured and semi-structured data
• Take initiative to solve hard problems and improve system performance
• Value strong version control and CI/CD discipline
• Appreciate flexibility and autonomy in your development workflow

A Day in the Life:

• Build and maintain data workflows using Python, Java, and Apache NiFi
• Write Bash/shell scripts to automate Linux-based operations
• Parse and transform structured/semi-structured data: JSON, XML, CSV, TCLD, ASDF, Parquet
• Develop messaging capabilities using ActiveMQ/ITX
• Implement and monitor CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI
• Integrate metrics/monitoring solutions with Prometheus and Grafana

Must Have:

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph (within the last 7 years)
• 10+ years of SWE experience with a Masters degree, or 12+ with a Bachelor's, or 14+ years of experience
• Strong development skills in Python and Java
• Experience with Linux system administration, shell scripting, and command-line tools
• Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi or other dataflow tools
• Familiarity with structured/semi-structured data transformation
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git for version control

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with Apache Spark or other streaming/data platforms
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Understanding of container orchestration and infrastructure automation
• Background in developing analytics or monitoring pipelines
