Your Role
defining software architecture for the next of lithography systems, driving the progress in the semiconductor industry
finding the best solutions for embedded control systems, considering modularity and sustainability, hardware limitations and performance specifications
analyzing system requirements, negotiating technical requirements and proposing solution options with the team
maintaining consistency/compatibility with the legacy and technical solutions space that is available internally and externally across products
proving technical feasibility and guiding the dev-teams during implementation and verification
defining work packages and integration plans - thereby steering internal and external development
hands-on creation of prototypes, PoC's and final software, also promoting new technologies, concepts and ideas to drive innovation
leading communications with internal and external stakeholders like systems engineers, software developers, project managers/POs and electronics teams
definitive contributions to our technology roadmap by providing your ideas and supporting innovation
Your Profile
studies in Engineering, Control Systems, Mathematics, Physics or similar - Masters desirable
you have proven experience as a software developer or architect in a professional software development environment for bare metal controllers (C/C++), real-time operating systems (Linux) or similar machine-oriented applications
you have an excellent understanding of real-time applications like fast embedded control systems
additionally you have in-depth knowledge of another technical domain, for example software under real-time operating systems
you can efficiently develop optimum solutions using the latest tools and methods in low level programming and you are able to present them convincingly to management and stakeholders
you can communicate clearly, precisely and with empathy and have a passion to successfully solve complex challenges independently and in a team
optionally you have experience with VHDL or similar
good English and optionally German
