Job Description
Our client is an established Main Contractor with a Focus on London Projects and have a need for a Senior Site Engineer on a 500 Unit RC frame New build in central London, Enabling works are underway, so you'll be joining the project at early stages. \nAs Senior Site Engineer, your role will focus on both precise setting out and rigorous quality control across key packages and package management including substructures, frame, façades, and internal works (partition walls, ceilings, and M&E). \nIt's important that setting out levels are accurate and comply with technical spec's.
You 'll have an understanding of construction tolerances, technical detailing, and the ability read and understand drawings and specifications, support mock-ups, and work closely with specialist subbies and relevant consultants. \nYou will: \n\nEnsure accurate setting out from early groundworks throughout the build/delivery. \nKeep clear quality records for foundations, piling, reinforcement, concrete, drainage, and related structural works.
\nDocument checks on fire‑safety elements, moisture and vapour control layers, membranes, trays, and roofing systems. \nVerify internal layouts, including partition positions and floor‑area measurements. \nMonitor and record progress on sitewide infrastructure and S278‑related works.
\nCoordinate inspections with regulators and design teams, keeping records of outcomes and actions. \nTrack and close out quality issues, ensuring all corrective measures are recorded. \nSupport short‑term construction planning and contribute to internal progress reviews.
\nLead relevant subcontractor meetings focused on delivery, planning, and quality. \nMaintain up‑to‑date as‑built progress records. \n\nYou will have: \n\nA Civ Eng Degree with strong setting out skills and package management/oversight, including sub-structures, frame, façade.
